One of the things that gives me enjoyment everyday is how beautiful the British countryside is. When it comes to holidays so many people I know would never dream of holidaying here and would rather jet off to other destinations. Well me and my family gain our enjoyment from places right on our doorstep.
We have always been walkers, not just a quick walk around the block but serious walkers. Even the kids carry their own rucksacks and equipment and think nothing of walking a good 10 miles come rain or shine.
I was introduced to geocaching about 2 years ago now and have experienced many wonderful places that I would never have dreamed of visiting otherwise. This blog is just to write about our days out and hopefully give people an insight into what geocaching is about.
For those of you who have never heard of Geocaching, well how can I explain it, it's basically a hi-tech treasure hunt. You upload a set of co-ordinates into a hand held GPSr and you follow the arrow and hopefully you will find a container with a log book in it to record your find.
Curious.....have a look at the site....www.geocaching.com
Leprechaun JACK is a team consisting of myself Claire, and my 2 daughters Kyla aged 10 (going on 20), and Alleghnee aged 9 (who is mostly off with the fairies). Our companion on most caching trips is Sprocket, our very eager and excitable working Cocker Spaniel who is 14 months old. We generally cache with our family who are The Bignall Boppers
